Hello

Greetings Bloggers,

My name is Douglas Adams Jr., and I am starting this new year with a blog.

I am pretty new to this , so please give me a chance to establish myself.

I am a 45 yr old father of 3 adult children (1 deceased)

I am married to Wanda, and we are the proud Grandparents of 2.

I have been a Letter Carrier with the US Postal Service for 26 years.

I have also been a Freelance photographer fr the past 8years.

Photography is MY PASSION, and this blog will hopefully introduce you to my work and busy

schedule.

I am currently working on a project with my cousin Norman DeShong Jr. called:

"The Katrina Project"

We have been photographing the devastation of Hurricane Katrina for the past 2 years.

We have been on the news twice in New Jersey, and once in North Carolina.

We have also appeared on a local cable program called "Kims Corner" twice.

We have thousands of images from New Orleans from the past 2 years.

Our images have been dispalyed in New Jersey Performing Arts Center, Morristown Municipal Court, Afro American cultural Center in Charlotte NC (until 1/8/08), and currently you can see some of our work at WBGO jazz radio Station at 54 Park Pl. Newark,NJ (opening reception is 1/17/08. our work is on display Dec.7/2007-Feb 1/2008)http://wbgo.org/

We are available to display our work and tell our story to Churches,Schools,Civic organizations etc.

Our mission is to keep the World informed about what is REALLY going on in New Orleans.

Until Later.....
