I visited my old Mail Route in Vailsburg last night.
It's been 20 years since I left that Route.
As I was driving up Grand Avenue, I passed Arsdale Pl. and I saw the guys out there playing basketball.
It immediately brought back memories to when I was the mail carrier on that route and used to see them playing ball out there all the time.
Most of the young men in this picture with me were between 5 and 10 years old when I was on the route, and I think one of them was not even born yet.
We laughed and we joked and we talked about the last 20 years.
They still call me Uncle Doug, and I still call them my Nephews
I spent about 45 minutes with them and then I was on my way.
It was a great visit.
That brings me to my thought for the day:
"You will NEVER know what IMPACT you have had on someones LIFE...until
you go BACK!"
Have a Blessed Day!
