The Last 44...Day 24 ( President Obama's last 44 day's in Office)

Good Morning World
Thank God for another Day!
Todays image in my series is another one of my all time favorites.
This was another time I was able to capture The President and First Lady at two different events at The White House.
The First Lady hosted Sesame Street Characters and the CEO, and Harvested The White House Garden with school children.
President Obama left for Boston to talk about Health Care.
While waiting for hime to come out and walk to Marine One on The South Lawn, I caught him in The Oval Office getting help with his jacket.
His eyes were DEAD on me!
All the other photographers were looking elsewhere...LOL

Good Morning World
Thank God for another Day!
Today's image in my series comes from my latest visit to the White House.
I Love the times when I can capture POTUS and FLOTUS on the same day.
POTUS was honoring the NHL Champion Penguins, and FLOTUS was harvesting her Garden with local school children and a few celebrities.
In this image, President Obama surprises The First Lady with a visit, and a little help harvesting the garden
( even in a shirt and tie. he didn't do too much...LOL)

The Last 44...Day 21 ( President Obama's last day's in Office)

Good Morning World
Thank God for another Day!
Today's image from my series comes from The Official Arrival Ceremony for The Official State Dinner of
German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
state dinner in the United States is a formal dinner held in honor of a foreign head of state, such as a king, queen, president, or any head of government. It is hosted by the President of the United States and held in the State Dining Room at the White House in Washington D.C.
I have attended 4 Official Arrival Ceremonies in my 7 years.
England,Germany,China, and Korea
It is usually a very long day, starting early in the morning with the Arrival Ceremony on the South Lawn, then a photo op with the two leaders in the Oval Office, A Press Briefing in the Rose Garden (weather permitting), or the East Room.
The Formal State Dinner is later in the evening.
I have never stayed for the formal dinner, because it is later in the evening, and I had to catch my Megabus back home to Jersey for work the next day.
You can view the official program from the day HERE
I have official programs from every State Dinner I have attended ( They actually passed them out to the Press)

Merry Christmas World
Thank God for another Day!
Todays image in this series is from The White House Annual Easter Egg Roll.
The Obama's have always said that The White House is America's House, and they have opened the doors to MANY to visit.
As of today, I have been there at least 77 times in the last 7 years
This is the only time, besides the second Inauguration, that I have captured the entire Obama Family together.
Have a Blessed Day!

Good Morning World
Thank God for another Day!
Today's image in this series is from my very first time at The White House.
The NY/NJ Sky Blue FC won the Womens Soccer League Championship, and were honored by President Obama.
I was invited by The Communications Director, John Archibald.
I always credit John, after God, for opening that door for me.
You can only imagine the nervousness, and joy I had for that first visit.

The Last 44...Day 15

Good Morning World
Thank God for another Day!
Today's image in this series is from a Rally in New Jersey for Corzine as Governor.
It was my second time photographing Barack Obama as President.
One thing that I noticed, as I loaded this image today. Maybe the Presidents Staff was not yet prepared for his travel requirements, but if you notice the Podium, the Presidential Seal was not present.

The Last 44...Day 13

Good Morning World
Thank God for another Day!
Today's image is from, in my opinion, the most important Ceremony this Nation has to offer.
The Medal of Honor.
As a Disabled Veteran myself, I am constantly reminded of the Service and Sacrifice given to this Country by those who have lost limbs, lives, and some who have even lost their minds.
I  have tried to make every one of these Ceremonies as possible over the last 7 years, and I am Proud to have served.
This Medal was given to Command Major Sergeant Bennie G. Adkins, and you can view the video Here

We happened to be there for the Anniversary, and we were able to capture the President's remarks at Xavier University.
It was a VERY busy four days there in New Orleans, as we also captured a pre-season Saint's game while they were reining Super Bowl Champs.

Today's image shows that Cool, Cool, stride of President Obama as he leaves Air Force One at Newark Airport and walks the tarmac to Marine One.
It has often been said that POTUS has "SWAG", which Merriam-Webster Dictionary describes :
That's a slang word that refers to stylish confidence

The Last 44...Day 7

Good Morning World...
Thank God for another Day

Today's image in my series is another one of my favorites.
People often ask me, Why don't I take a picture with the President?
As a photographer, I have never been Star Struck.
So I never do it, unless there is a perfect opportunity.
Somehow, after my first White House Easter Egg Roll,
President Obama always spotted me by the fence on the South Lawn, and he has always approached me, extended his arm, shake my hand, and say "What's up man"
This time, I made sure I kept shooting the camera till he got right in my face.

The Last 44...Day 5

Good Morning World!
First, let me thank God for 54 years of life.
Not only for life, but a FULL LIFE.
God has opened doors for me, and put me in places that I could have only dreamed.
I am forever Grateful to God for His Grace and Mercy.
Today's image in this series was taken at JFK Airport in Queens NYC.
President Obama, and The First Lady came to visit the 911 Memorial, on the 10th Anniversary of the worst attack on American Soil.
Most times, when the President lands at an Airport, he will great the crowd, and shake hands.
This was different...somber.
It was pretty windy on this visit, so the First Lady had to continuously hold her dress, and was even helped a few times, by The President.

The Last 44...Day 4

Good Morning World!
Todays image was taken at the same Event as yesterday.
The State Dinner for the British Prime Minister, David Cameron.
We (the media) were setup on risers on the South Lawn.
As POTUS and FLOTUS exited the South Portico to wait for the arrival of the Dignitaries, I captured President Obama leaning over to the First Lady, and whispered something in her ear.
I wonder what he said to her...LOL

The Last 44...Day 3

This was my first time in The Oval Office.
There are some photo ops that are set up for the Pool of Photographers who work at The White House every day.
They work for some of the big media outlets, CNN,ABC,NBC...etc
I managed to slip in with the Press Pool for this shot.
It was a State Dinner Visit by British PM David Cameron, and his wife.
There is a Review of the Military on The South Lawn, then the two Leaders have a photo op in The Oval Office, and then questions are answered from the media, in The Rose Garden, or The East Room
( depending on weather)
It was very hot that day, so I had on a floppy hat to protect my head from the heat.
I was so nervous, that i nearly tripped over a few people in the Oval Office.
You can see President Obama glaring at me, as I forgot to take off my BIG BRIMMED FLOPPY HAT...LOL

The Last 44...

So today marks the countdown of The First Black President.
President Barack H. Obama,
the 44th President of these United States.
Today begins the 44 days left in Office countdown, for me.
In honor of this extraordinary Presidency, and the Blessing I have had to capture this President in photographs, since 2008.
I have decided to post an image every day for the LAST 44 days, that I have captured.
God willing, sometime next year, My story will be told in a book, filled with images.
God Bless, and enjoy the images
Feb. 4, 2008...The Meadowlands in NJ.
