Carmen was my Manager in Irvington, and Belleville Annex before taking positions in Management in Staten Island, Brooklyn, and Queens.
He was sworn into his Dream Job as one of Newarks Own.
I was honored to sing The National Anthem, and God Bless America (with a little

The highlight of the day was, after the swearing in, Carmen asked me to come down to the Postmasters Office and sing a Frank Sinatra tune for his Family, the Postal Management, and his Mom who just turned 94.
Of course I sang
"My Way" and then led the crowd, singing Happy Birthday to his Mom, and then went to the street to do my Route ( with help of course...LOL)

Carmen Fede, Deborah Fortunato, and Stephen Sholander, her spouse, cost the U.S. Postal Service about $50,000 in back pay awarded to me by arbitrator Sherrie Rose Talmadge after they put me out of work for nine months. When I returned to my employment, Fede falsified documents to wrongfully fire me after I worked diligently as a letter carrier for 22 years. He stole my job and my pension! Carmen Fede mentioned his dad in his speech; however, he did not visit him when he was alive. I delivered the mail to all of the Fedes in Belleville; and Carmen's dad complained to me that he never saw his son. RIP. I am Joseph A. Della Ferra

D. Adams Jr., are you aware that Thomas Utzinger, the Newark postmaster while Carmen Fede was our manager, did not take any action against Joseph Jezowicz, a racist? Jezowicz told Salim Ali, a black employee under his supervision, "I'm going to kill you. You think you're a smart n-word." The U.S. Postal Service (USPS)paid Ali big bucks to silence him. William H. Walls, a U.S. District Court Judge in Newark, fined Jezowicz only $100. Utzinger did nothing! Jezowicz and Utzinger's niece had a child together at the time. Jezowicz should have been fired! Nepotism runs rampant at the USPS in Newark, NJ!
